Compufix Key Success Factors
An advantage of  Compufix’s pipeline security routing experience over many years is an
understanding of the aspects which are critical to achieving the pipeline security routing objectives.
These include:-

  • Awareness of applicable legislation and regulations
  • Selection of and familiarity with appropriate design codes
  • Consultations with all affected bodies and persons at appropriate stages
  • Cost effective timing and extent of field work investigations
  • Maintaining good relations with landowners and the general public

All of Compufix Firm(s) Products have the following main advantages:
  • The Highest Probability of Detection of any comparable system on the market today.
  • The Lowest False Alarm Rate of any comparable system on the market today.
  • The capability to obtain an alarm as early as possible, so that once the alarm has sounded,
the security personnel will have ample time to respond.
  • Minimum reliance on human attention and alertness, these being replaced by reliable
systems, which do not tire and do not depend on the limited human attention span.

The final stage is to conduct and execute the turnkey security solution according to plan for which
Compufix will assign a project manager, responsible for project implementation.
Compufix Secure Pipe Combine Products are suitable for all pipes or cables, from existing and
operational pipelines, to new pipelines under construction. The system can easily be integrated into
a full turnkey security solution, including perimeter protection, ground or air patrol and others. By
answering the challenge of securing pipelines, Compufix offers a total security solution for the Oil
and Gas industry– from the oil field to the refineries.
Fully Integrated Fiber Optic Sensors: PipeAboveGuard Sensor (PAG-S) System Configuration Fig -1
PAG-S: How it works ...........
Compufix utilizes either a new or existing fiber optic cable buried alongside a pipeline, detecting and
locating an intrusion to within 160 yards regardless of the pipeline length. A single system can
protect 25 miles (40km) of pipeline, with multiple systems networked together for longer distances.
A laser beam is transmitted along this buried sensor cable(
Cable shown in red), and the returned
signal is automatically monitored and analyzed by the sensing controller for ground disturbances.
This returned signal is intelligently processed to minimize false alarms, while still detecting and
reacting to the smallest hostile event.

As can be seen in the image above, there is no power or electronics along the pipeline, and the
sensor cable is safe. Power is only required at the sensing controller which is normally housed
within a secure Command Center(
shown in sky blue). The inactive lead-in cable (shown in sky blue)
runs from the sensing controller to the pipeline where a beginning sensor (
shown light green) is
spliced on. The buried cable (
shown in red) is now sensitive all the way along the pipeline, through
any sensors in-between (
shown light green) until the end sensor(shown light green) .

In order to confront these new threats, a turnkey security solution is the one and only mean of
preventing the modern-day intruder from penetrating your sites.

Compufix reduces the period of time from intruder detection to intruder engagement, to a minimum.
Compufix Secure Pipe Combine Products  was developed to improve the response to real-time
security events, by sharing video and geographical information
from GIS group between the
command center and security personnel acting in the field.

The system creates a unified and interactive intelligence picture - drawing data from all sensors,
whilst displaying the movement of security personnel in the field and adding other relevant
information, such as video from various sources, auxiliary services and weather conditions
(GIS
group)
. This combined picture, which is continuously updated, is sent by the Central Command to all
security personnel in the command chain, and serves as a unified basis for operational planning
and allocation of tasks.
Compufix Secure Tracking System: is a fully Integrated Command & Control System, which
supports real-time decision making and wide-area command and control.

F-Secure reduces the period of time from intruder detection to intruder engagement, to a minimum.
F-Secure was developed to improve the response to real-time security events, by sharing video and
geographical information between the control center and security personnel acting in the field.

Using advanced technology, Compufix gives the security officer a unique graphical command tool,
which updates the location details and video view of the alerting area, whilst simultaneously
enabling a constant watch over security personnel movements, thus optimizing the operational
response
(From the GIS group in the command center).

F-Secure is based on a number of advanced technologies that are currently being used in military
applications. However, the system's competitive price, positions F-Secure as an optimal security
system for all strategic facilities, both in the public and private sectors. Its target markets include
governmental, institutional and large sensitive facilities, such as borders, airports, hospitals, power
plants, Oil/Gas pipelines above or below ground and water sources, as well as large manufacturing
facilities requiring real-time control and protection.
